IN THE STATE:
On Sunday, Gov. Gianforte commemorated the 6-month milestone since Hamas attacked Israel on October 6. The governor said the Israeli flag will stand outside his office alongside the American and Montana flags until every hostage, including American hostages, are returned home. Read his statement.

On Monday, the Montana National Guard officially deployed to Texas to assist Governor Abbott in securing the border at Gov. Gianforte’s direction. Gov. Gianforte activated the Guard earlier this month. Watch here.

Earlier this week, the governor reminded eligible Montanans about the April 15th deadline to apply for the Property Tax Assistance Program and the Montana Disabled Veterans Property Tax Assistance Program. Addressing rising property taxes is one of Gov. Gianforte’s top priorities. In 2023, he delivered relief to Montanans through property tax rebates, for both this year and last, and established his Property Tax Task Force to recommend long-term solutions to reign in property taxes. Read more.

On Thursday, Governor Gianforte joined 21 other governors in criticizing the EPA for their attempt to mandate new air quality standards that ignore the concerns of western states. Instead of addressing those concerns, this rule would create more red tape for businesses and raise costs for Montana families. Read more.
