TOP STORY – NATIONAL SUPPORT GROWS FOR THE FREE VETERANS ACT!
• I’m proud to announce my bill to protect Montana veterans from scam artists (S. 2407) has received support from the National Association of County Veterans Services officers and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. I will continue working to pass this important bill for our veteran community.
SUPPORTING THE MILITARY, VETERANS, AND THEIR FAMILIES
Thanking Dr. Jonathan Bingham. |
• During a visit to the Horses Spirits Healing in Billings on October 3rd, I was impressed by their certified equine riding instructors that help military veterans suffering from psychological trauma and physical disabilities. I’m proud to support their efforts.
• On October 9th, I thanked Dr. Jonathan Bingham, Mohs Surgeon-Dermatologist at the Great Falls Clinic for all his tremendous service to our nation while serving in the Air National Guard, and for all he’s done for the community of Great Falls.
• For recognition long overdue, I had the honor of awarding Al Shryer with his Bronze Star in Great Falls on October 9th. Alfred served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during 1971. He performed logistical support in Nha Trang located in the south eastern coastal region of Vietnam.

RECENTLY INTRODUCED VETERANS’ LEGISLATION
- To honor veterans and service members that were deployed or are currently deployed to defend our freedoms, I cosponsored Senator John Hoeven’s S.Res.381, a resolution designating October 26, 2019, as the Day of the Deployed.
- To implement programs that prepare high schools students in JROTC for military and civilian careers in computer science and cybersecurity, I cosponsored Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen’s S.2154, the JROTC Cyber Training Act.
Best Wishes,
