As with all congressional bills from either House of Congress, some parts are good
and some parts are bad. But, one of my pet peeves is when someone tries to take
credit for the good part. For example, the Pact Act. On 2/12/2024, Sen. Jon
Tester wrote to Montana constituents, “VA moves to expand agent orange
veterans’ benefits using authorities from Tester’s Pact Act.” Nice try, Jon!

In 2022, Sen. Moran introduced the Pact Act and should accept bragging rights for
it. The act received historic bi-partisan support. Both senators from Montana, Daines
and Tester, voted for it. They both love and support Montana’s veterans.
