Lately, there’s been a lot of tv chatter about LNG. LNG is liquified natural gas that has been cooled to a liquid state … at approx. … minus-260-degrees for ease and safety to store and transport.
The White House’s efforts to boost U.S. LNG exports and cut Europe’s reliance on Russian gas, since the Ukrainian invasion, are proceeding slowly because of guess what? … climate change! LNG has been banned “for now”. Some people in the White House (led by Climate Czar John Kerry) and in Congress (the Squad) argue that it’ll hurt efforts to wean Americans off fossil fuels.
U.S.’s LNG industry has long claimed that its fuel has less climate impact than dirty Russian gas sent via leaky pipelines to Europe. That information falls on deaf ears for believers of the Green New Deal!
