Montana Republicans Attempt to Offset Damage Done by DC Democrats

HELENA, Mont. – While Montanans continue to experience the devastating effects of the poor policies and incompetence of Joe Biden and his Democrat allies in Washington D.C., Montana’s Republican elected officials are doing everything they can to provide relief to make life better for all Montanans.Governor Gianforte announced today that our unemployment rate for the month of April remained at a record low 2.3%, the labor force is the highest in history, and businesses are moving to Montana at a rapid rate-increasing job opportunities across the state. While success under Governor Gianforte’s leadership is clear, the average Montana household is paying an extra $652 per month due to Biden’s inflation fiasco. In response to today’s new employment data, Montana Republican Party Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement:“Governor Gianforte and all of Montana’s Republican elected officials are showing that Montana is clearly stronger under Republican leadership,” Chairman Kaltschmidt said. “Unfortunately, the progress we are making here in Montana is being hit by the failures of the Biden administration from 2,500 miles away. Joe Biden, Jon Tester, and the rest of the Democrats in Washington D.C. have offered zero solutions to provide any relief to Montana families who are feeling the effects of their failures. Whether it’s gas prices, baby formula shortages, surging crime rates, or the Southern Border, this administration offers zero solutions to get our nation back on the right track. We must elect Republicans up and down the ticket in November to steer our nation back in the right direction.”The Montana unemployment rate has dropped by almost 50% and has added over 25,000 new jobs since Governor Gianforte took office in January of 2021. While Montana’s job and economic data continues to show progress, this month U.S. inflation stayed near a record high, gas prices have hit all-time highs 9 of the last 10 days, and the average Montanan is paying an extra $232 a month in food and energy costs. This November, Republicans will take the gavel out of Nancy Pelosi’s hands and Montanans will send two Republican members of Congress back to Washington D.C. to clean up the mess Jon Tester and Joe Biden have created.
