Muriel Bowser is mad because her city, D.C., spent $1.7-million from its Emergency Planning & Security Fund (EPSF) for America’s patriotic 4th of July celebration.  But, she left-out the fact that a considerable amount of revenue was brought into “her” city as a result of it.  Profit for merchants, retailers, restaurants, bars, gas-refill stations, etc. probably had a fantastic boon, far exceeding $1.7-million.  Before going after Pres. Trump for D.C.’s EPSF, honoring our under-honored military troops and equipment, she ought to determine its “net” benefit to D.C. by fact-checking with its Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Bureau and the like.

In addition to wanting American taxpayers to pay for draining her EPSF, did she, also, want the government to reimburse her for other events, such as McCain’s and G.W. Bush’s funerals?  If so, did she figure the “net” costs to D.C.’s EPSF; or, is her demand for reimbursement by the federal government just another one of the Left’s “get-Trump” problems?  In all three situations, We The Taxpayer People handled the brunt of expenses, while D.C. received the profits.  These days, anti-Trump whiners tend to omit the other side of “almost everything”; and, for “almost everything” there’s almost always another side to it.
