On 2/21/2025, Senate passed Republicans’ bill promoting Trump’s immigration, energy and defense policies, despite Trump’s preference for the House’s version of the bill that would include $-trillions in tax cuts. Also, neither house of Congress seems inclined to minus-off Elon’s findings.

“Desperately seeking a tax cut. What’s going on in US Senate? Last week, Senate Republican majority passed a budget blueprint resolution that: (A) spends more money and (B) has no Trump tax cuts. Huh? Senators want to pass Trump’s tax cuts off until … later in the summer or maybe in the fall. The highest priority has become the least urgent priority. Sure. That makes sense! We can count at least three glaring problems with this strategy: 1) economy is wobbly; consumer spending and sentiment are falling. Inflation is rising in after shock of Bidenomics. We need a real tax cut extension for economic stimulus ASAP; 2) waiting allows wanderlust Dems months to regroup … too much can go wrong with that; and 3) sooner tax cut is passed, the faster Trump’s economy can rebound. Republican senators assure us that, as soon as House passes tax cut, they’ll jump on board. Sure. Like they did on Obamacare repeal?”.
