USMCA (United States, Mexico, Canada Agreement) will replace the current NAFTA trade agreement. It will create a more balanced, reciprocal (level playing field) trade between those countries while benefiting American workers, farmers, ranchers, factories and businesses and supporting higher paying jobs.   USMCA is much better than 1994’s NAFTA.  A 75% portion of cars will be made in US factories (vs. NAFTA’s 62.5%).  Under USMCA, there’s a guaranteed $16/hour minimum wage (vs. none with NAFTA).  Where NAFTA had no currency protectors, USMCA shields the United States against currency manipulators.  It makes it easier to sell American products, especially dairy, to Canadian and Mexican consumers.

USMCA was signed over a year ago by Pres. Trump, Mexico’s president, and Canada’s Prime Minister.  Unfortunately, Pelosi’s hatred for Trump, has stalled the House’s ratification of USMCA by refusing to take it to the floor. That’s shameful … but, no surprise! As long as Pres. Trump is in the Oval Office, Pelosi will stall and block anything that can’t be passed without the House’s approval.  Her behavior is just one more example of how she cares more for her political agenda than the welfare of the American people.
