Scott Bessent has done an outstanding job as Trump’s Secretary of Treasury.  He’d make a great replacement for Jerome Powell.  Just like Trump’s keep-Americans-safe foreign policy, his Economic Plan is equally important.  He has earned the right to choose who handles every part of it.  Democrats, like Powell, are determined to throttle Trump at every turn.  At first, pro-Trump economists, such as Kudlow and Laffer, were considered to be wonderful candidates for heading-up “The Fed” (aka Central Bank).  Now, though, Bessent has broken-through the glass-ceiling for what a pro-USA Treasury Secretary can do.   Against all odds, while partnering with Trump, he has been steering America’s economy out of the weeds from where Obama, Biden, Susan Rice and the auto pen managed to drag it.  It would be hard to lose Bessent as Treasury Secretary, but Trump deserves his choice for both positions.  So far, Trump has been cordial about Powell being the good little Democrat puppet by fighting him at every interest-lowering request.  Even the World Bank’s top economists have had to, reluctantly, acknowledge that Trump and Bessent have been right in their monetary moves.  Perhaps after Trump finishes the Big Beautiful Bill skirmishes with Democrats and RINOs, the other shoe will drop at the Fed, allowing Trump’s Economic Plan to move forward with perfection.   Meanwhile, so-called Democrat-elitists, such as AOC, Schiff, Pelosi, Sanders, Schumer and what’s-her-name from Texas, can whine and wail as if they are experts on everything from military moves to saving the world’s economy.
