Schumer’s Words Matter
Speaking at a Pro-Life rally ahead of June Medical Services v. Russo.outside of the Supreme Court!
Last week, I introduced a resolution to censure Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for threatening two Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
Schumer threatened the justices ahead of oral arguments in the abortion case June Medical Services v. Russo saying, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Chief Justice John Roberts, offered a rare rebuke saying, “Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous.”
Schumer’s reckless and dangerous comments are beneath the office he holds and I plan to hold Schumer accountable!
