Sen. Daines (R-MT) released a statement today (7/17/2025) following the Senate’s passage of Pres. Trump’s “rescission package”:
“The federal government is $37-tril. in debt. Today, I voted to reduce waste and fraud in several federal programs so that Montanan taxpayer dollars are used effectively. This spending cut is a step in the right direction toward fiscal sanity and getting our country back on track. And, I was proud to support it.”
