What’s New:
This week I championed the bipartisan Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence (TRACED) Act which cracks down on the rise of dangerous robocalls throughout our country. This bill would give regulators more authority in stopping illegal robocalls, increase the penalty for those making the calls, and work to block those calls in the future.
Why it Matters:
All over Montana and our country, folks are being taken advantage of through illegal robocalls. We must crack down on these bad actors and stop this abuse once and for all! The bipartisan TRACED Act does just that.
What’s Next:
The bill moved out of committee this week and it will now head to the Senate floor. Read more about the TRACED Act here. I will continue to fight for this legislation until it crosses the finish line.
