Rebecca Makkai, prominent liberal author, compares red MAGA hats to Nazi swastikas. She tells “normal people” (as she calls “liberals”) to stop wearing any kind of red hat. Why? “They make people scared.” She specifically asked “sports fans, such as Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals, to not wear their hats in public … to avoid making people afraid”. When did a color become controversial? As Tyrus would shout, “it’s a color!”!
