Top Story – Longest period of economic growth in history!
Our economy recently broke another record. We have experienced economic growth for an unprecedented ten years and counting! Our robust economy means more jobs and more take-home pay for Montana families.
I supported cutting taxes and reducing regulation and have been pleased to see the subsequent boost in our economy. In fact, these policies helped to create more than 6 million new jobs since November 2016.
Job creation remains strong
The June Employment Situation Report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics provided more proof of the strength of the U.S. economy. Our economy produced 224,000 jobs in June.
The June jobs report also highlighted continued wage growth. We have witnessed 11 straight months of wage gains at or above 3 percent!
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – Did you Know?
Newly released IRS data again debunked the myth that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act favored the wealthy.
In 2018, millionaires paid more in taxes than they did the previous year. In that same time, lower and middle-income Americans on average saw a 15 percent tax cut.
