In May, Sen. Daines introduced his Crow Revenue Act.   It would ensure that Bull Mountains Mining continues to operate and save jobs in the Roundup, MT area.  In September, he addressed the bill in an Indian Affairs Committee hearing.  Democrats blocked its passage, but Danies is diligent about pursuing bills which help Montanans.  He wants Montanans to join him in his pursuit by calling Senate Democrats from other states, expressing favor for the passage of the Crow Revenue Act.
Sen. Daines explained:  “If we do not act, 100 high-paying mining jobs will likely be lost in and around Round-Up.  This would be on the heels of the 700 jobs, which were just lost at the Stillwater Mine in Columbus.  Montana cannot afford another lay-off of hardworking miners.  Further, if not passed, both Musselshell County and the Crow Tribe will see cuts in their revenue, leading to less services for the communities.” C
