On Tuesday, we celebrated 100 years since the U.S. Senate cleared the way to give women the right to vote. In Montana, we have a strong history of women leaders, just like Jeannette Rankin, the first woman to serve in Congress.
It was great to visit Rankin’s statue which is housed in the U.S. Capitol! Check out my Facebook Post HERE.
As a husband to my sweet wife Cindy, and a father to my two daughters, Annie and Caroline, I am proud of the history Montana has in fighting for women’s right to vote. Please watch the above video to hear my remarks for the 100th Year Anniversary of this important moment in our nation’s history.
Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook! I look forward to hearing from you!
Best Wishes,
Steve Daines
