Greg listens as a U.S. Border Patrol agent describes security measures on the southern border

After U.S. Border Patrol agents recently made the largest fentanyl bust in the agency’s history, I spoke on the House floor to highlight the narcotics seizure and urge lawmakers to fund meaningful physical barriers along our southern border.

The drug epidemic in Montana is tearing apart our families. We must secure the border to cut off the meth supply that cartels push through our ports of entry and across our porous borders.

Securing the border with a physical barrier is a bipartisan idea. More than 60 Democrats in the House and Senate have claimed a physical barrier should be part of the solution. Both U.S. senators from Montana have voted for physical barriers.

Congress should work together to fund meaningful physical barriers to secure our border and protect our communities from the scourge of illegal drugs.
