Social Security represents a solemn commitment from one generation to the next and a major source of income for the elderly. A strong Social Security program is absolutely critical for seniors and the disabled (medically proven to be disabled). Everyone recognizes that the system must be improved. Otherwise, it is predicted to be exhausted by 2036. There will still be a lot of payroll tax money coming in; but, revenues will not be enough to pay full benefits. So, it is clear that both houses of Congress need to be working on this situation. Who wants to see a bunch of 80 year olds homeless?
That’s where DOGE comes in. It needs more employees to help in uncovering fraud, waste and abuse. DOGE already uncovered millions of ineligible and deceased people who are receiving Social Security benefits. There is widespread fraud and, before Pres. Trump, no one else has bothered to investigate. Getting those losers off of the list of legitimate recipients will be one way to clean-up waste. That money will go back into Social Security’s own trust fund.
