Last week, Jeff Bezos unveiled his EV Slate Auto Company’s, electric pick-up.  It costs $27,500.  For people, using certain tax credits, the price could be as little as $20,000. For anyone interested, it’s the least expensive EV yet.  Slate’s CEO, Chris Barman, explained, “Slate exists to put power back in the hands of customers who’ve been ignored by the auto industry.  Slate is a radical truck platform; it can transform from a 2-seat pick-up to a 5-seat SUV.  It’s priced considerably less than Tesla’s cybertruck ($82,235) and Ford’s F-150 Lightening ($62, 900).  The vehicle only has 150 range and lacks certain accessories.  But, still, it provides another option in the EV market.  At this stage, it can offer “price” considerations for the customer, who mostly would use it for local travel purposes.
