Just like any socialist central planner, Obama (aka first puppet president after Clinton) banked on certain business interests over others, ensuring that they would be well taken care of. An early example was choosing General Electric’s Chief to head-up his Council on Jobs & Competitiveness, initiating the phrase “crony corporatist”. So much for Obama’s promise to eliminate exactly that kind of favoritism, pay-to-play politics and curbing public spending.
Financial bailouts and economic stimulus followed suit. It was “necessary” to bail-out the auto industry. General Motors was showered with a $49.5-billion rescue package. Alternative sources of energy, such as wind and solar were rewarded as well. One recipient went belly-up soon afterwards. And, who can forget the “shovel ready” farce? On late night tv, even Obama laughed about its failure.
The worst of his socialist, spendthrift agenda, though, was Obamacare, a health care “cure-all”. If it was so great, why did Obama hand-out 222 waivers (40 to unions), exempting pals from its onerous rules?
Fast forward to Biden and his anonymous puppeteers. Teachers Union accounted for 20% of all donations to Democrats. Union bosses have called the shots on lockdowns, mask mandates and worse. Biden’s enormous federal budget hole rewards those, who fall in line with a big government agenda. The little people are being squeezed out. Now, Russia-Ukraine! Biden told them to prepare for hard times! If Democrats succeed in November, We the People are so screwed!
