Maggie’s List is gaining steam in its attempt to change the face of politics. It is a PAC, which was founded in Florida in 2010 to “raise awareness and funds to increase the number of conservative women elected to federal public office”. It is named after Margaret Chase Smith, a Republican who was the first woman elected to both houses of Congress.
In 2020, it backed Kat Cammack as a representative from Florida. Kat was a small business owner, who grew-up on a cattle ranch and I an alumnus of the U.S. Naval War College. She won!
